Welcome to Elrick Primary School. I hope that our partnership will be productive and enjoyable and that your child settles quickly with us.

We take pride in the fact that this is a happy and industrious school with a real sense of team spirit. We know that your child will enjoy their time at Elrick Primary.

Starting school, at any time, can be a little daunting for everyone, however we are here to support you through this big step for you and your child. No question is too small. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with any queries, concerns or suggestions.

There is so much to get to know when starting in a new school. We hope the information in this website gives a flavour of what we are all about at Elrick.

This booklet is designed for families that are starting Primary 1 at Elrick in August.

Clan Groups

At Elrick all our children are given a Clan and participate in clan activities across the year. Clans can be awarded tokens across all aspects of school life.

Our clans are:

Bennachie (Red)
Eagle (Yellow)
Ness (Blue)
Thistle (Green)

Each year children will vote for a P7 pupil to be their Clan Chief.

You can use the details above to order. Laura will allow you to try sizes before you buy, just get in touch. Pick up is locally in Westhill. A great way to support a local business.

We have an online system for uniform ordering whereby you will be able to purchase uniform directly from our supplier through our own dedicated website. Uniform can either be delivered free of charge to the school and then sent home with your child/collected by yourself from the school or there is also the option to get delivery to your home address, however this option will be not be free of charge. Delivery fees are shown on the website. The school get a commission from this.

Parental Consent

Elrick School appreciates all parental support to enable us to ensure the educational development, safety and wellbeing of our children. For this, we require consent from you as your child’s parent or carer in several important areas. It is with this in mind that we would ask you to read this booklet carefully and sign the declaration at the end section. This booklet will only have to be completed once for each child for his/her entire time at Elrick Primary School.

Breakfast & After School Childcare - Schools Out! Club Westhill

Schools Out! Club Westhill is an award winning social enterprise out of school group running term time breakfast and after-school clubs for children in Westhill. We also run Holiday play schemes for children all over the North East. Our Charity partner SensationALL runs therapy based activities and services for children and adults with any support needs or disabilities. The practitioners and occupational therapists also provide advice and training to professionals and families all over the North East.

After School Childcare - CHAMPS Westhill

CHAMPS Westhill provides afterschool care Monday - Thursday and supports all 3 Westhill Primary Schools.

Westhill Scout Hall, Old Skene Road.

We have a host of great planned activities for the kids at every session, they receive a snack and pick up is until 5:30pm.
